FAQ
Intenty isn’t working as expected – What should I do?
Please note that while Intenty is designed to work seamlessly on standard Android operating systems, we might encounter compatibility challenges with some Custom ROMs (like MIUI, EMUI, OxygenOS, etc.)
If Intenty is not functioning properly, it could be due to permission settings or background app management on your Android device. Here’s a quick guide to troubleshoot:
- Update your OS: Ensure you have the latest software patch installed.
- Check app permissions: Intenty requires specific permissions, like Notifications and Overlay over other apps and Battery optmisation. Ensure these are granted. You can find a list of minimal needed permission in Settings → Onboarding → Permissions setup step.
- Enable Intenty mode: Make sure the ‘Intenty mode’ toggle in the app is active.
- Device-specific settings:
- Samsung: For Android 12+, add Intenty to “Never sleeping apps” and disable battery optimizations.
- Huawei: Disable “Manage all automatically” for Intenty and enable all toggles under App launch settings. On some models, enable Intenty in the Startup manager.
- Xiaomi: Set “No Restrictions” in Battery Saver for Intenty and enable Autostart. For MIUI 12+, allow “Display pop-up window while running in the background” (might require Developer mode)
- Oppo: Enable “Allow Auto Startup” and “Allow Background Running” for Intenty. Adjust settings in Security Center and Battery for specific models.
- OnePlus: Disable “Battery Optimization” for Intenty and turn off App Auto-Launch on some models. For OxygenOS 13 and newer OnePlus devices, ensure “Allow background activity” and “Allow auto-launch” are enabled. For older models, turn off “Enhanced optimization”.
- General advice: Avoid system-wide optimizations like Xiaomi Battery Saver or similar features on other devices, as they can restrict app functionality.
- Compatibility issues: If your device isn’t listed and you’re experiencing issues, visit https://dontkillmyapp.com for more information on additional phone settings.
By following these steps, most issues with Intenty can be resolved. However, if problems persist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for further assistance at yaroslav@intenty.app.
Is there an iOS version?
Currently, there is no iOS version of Intenty. This is primarily due to iOS’s operating system restrictions, which do not permit apps to display pop-up windows while running in the background.
